About Me

My family and I moved from India in 1970s to the UK where we have resided since. As a young child I was taught and raised on Vedic Sanskaar rituals and have been active within the Hindu Community in UK from 1990s. After I graduated from university, I decided to follow in my father’s footsteps to become a Hindu Priest and have been performing all manners of ceremonies from Poojas, Weddings, and Last Rites for the past 30 years. My ceremonies have taken me all across the global from US to Europe, India to Middle East, and even Bali! I am also fluent in multiple languages including Hindi, English, and Gujrati.

I come from a long line of Iyengar Brahmin priests, originating in South India. My grandfather Dr Vishwamitra Iyengar (knows as Swami Savitranand, a Sanskaar Acharya), the author of the Om NaamSankirtan, encouraged all his children to learn and practise the teaching of the Vedas resulting in a long line of Vedic educated Doctors practising over the globe. My Uncles, Dr Satyapal Sharma (Swami Satyam) and Dr YagnmitraIyengar, travelled to the UK, South Africa, Kenya and USA, while my Aunt, Dr Usha Sharma, served in Mauritius and India. My own Father, Dr Shrutisheel Sharma travelled to Surinam, Guyana, Trinidad, and Europe before settling in the UK and become one ofonly few Hindu Priests in London during the 1970s onwards.
